AAEM Tennessee Chapter Division - Board of Directors Election

Nominations Now Being Accepted March 12 - April 6, 2015

During AAEM's recent Scientific Assembly in Austin, TNAAEM's board of directors met to discuss chapter business and the overall state of the chapter. For a small chapter we have accomplished great things, most notably freeing emergency physicians in Tennessee from the oppression of restrictive covenants in employment contracts, but the time has come to recruit and develop a new generation of leadership. With that in mind we are working towards an on-line election for the chapter division board of directors to include the positions of president, vice-president secretary/treasurer, directors, and resident and student represenatives.

If you would like to be on the ballot for either the board of directors or an officer, or would like to nominate someone else who is eager to serve, please submit a nomination. All candidates for officer or director positions must be full voting members of TNAAEM, in good standing. Only residents and student members are eligible for the resident and student representative positions respectively. All board members will be asked to sign AAEM's conflict of interest form and disclose relevant employment and other financial relationships. Anyone who wants a position of leadership in TNAAEM should support the AAEM Mission and Vision Statement. That means that simply working for one of the big contract management corporations does not preclude a TNAAEM member from leadership.
